Great place to learn history on Kenya's Independence. Also you get to learn more on the 2 groups of pokot community (agricultural and pastrolist group) from the gallery Clean toilets Great customer service
A quaint and neatly organised museum. Kapenguria is best known for the infamous trial of Bikdad Kaggia, Kung'u Karumba, Jomo Kenyatta, Fred Kubai, Paul Ngei and Achieng' Oneko (aka Kapenguria Six) in 1952. Details of this important point in Kenya's history are captured in the Kapenguria Museum, located in the old detention centre where the Kapenguria Six where held for months. The museum also has artefacts describing the rich Pokot culture and several items highlighting Kenya's pre-colonial past.
Historic centre, museums with ancient traditional pokot artifacts, kapenguria six detention cells, snake park..
A good historic site.
Great source of history on Kenya's independence struggle
