Went to this place as part of a team doing a bike ride. After the ride, we had the chance to get warm from the fireplace because it was drizzly and cold. The main house is well architected and is adjacent to the cheese production facility. The chees tour was eye opening. Purity, our tour guide certainly has an incredible grasp of the entire process. She explained it so flawlessly. Hygiene is at the epicenter of the entire production process. Being a plant photographer, I was amazed by the blooming flowers in the backyard and took a couple of shots. I'm not a fan of cheese but the way the table was served, the overall experience was top notch. I enjoyed my experience in this place.

A must visit for cheese lovers. Had a great time, and ate more cheese than I really should have. A little out of town but well worth the drive

An afternoon at Brown's Cheese is a wonderful experience! When you arrive they serve canopies and fresh lemonade. The tour of cheese factory start shortly afterwards. (Wear comfortable shoes / trainers as the floor is wet in places and your shoes will get damp.) It's quite impressive how many varieties of cheese, crackers, ice cream, etc. they make in the original Brown Farm. After the tour they serve a cheese platter with around 8 different cheeses and a red and a white wine. The cheese is amazing! Cheese-tasting is followed by lunch - three courses of soup, salad dishes, and then lamb... all very tasty! Staff are friendly and very passionate about the farm. Overall, a great day... highly recommended.

Loved everything about this place from Dusty the Labrador to the amazing variety of cheese and the process it takes to make them. Makes you appreciate the brand even more.

We had a nice time at this cheese factory. They have days when they accommodate groups for a day's factory tour. The group is taken through cheese making process for different types of Brown's cheese. Then lunch is served in their beautiful garden area. A variety of cheese, wine, and salads. Occasionally they serve meat too.

Wonder place for a day trip outside of Nairobi. Staff are nice, lunch is great and you can buy a mountain load of cheese!

Get to know everything and anything you wanted to know about cheese. Browns cheese is one of Kenya's largest cheese manufacturers and it does not disappoint. Packed with high tech gear, well informed employees and a passion for growing local farmers. Browns is a unique experience in the quiet and serene limuru country side. The experience comes with a delightful three course meal out of ingredients mainly grown or processed on site. The large venue also houses a very well organized garden. The tour enables visitors to see the cheese making process from start to finish. The factory houses some unique flavours such as the mursik cheddar which uses flavours of the kalenjin tribe in Kenya. The food is also paired with a good selection of wines and desert from sorbets made right at the factory. It is definitely worth the visit. Remember to book early to avoid disappointment.

Browns Cheese is a locally operated cheese factory that offers tours and a great lunch. If you are in Nairobi and looking for a nice day trip try touring browns. The tour is not very long but very thorough and they are very happy to answer questions when they are posed. The cheese meal alone is worth the trip, it has a salad, entree and soup . . . along with wine if you want to partake. The last perk: You get to try cheeses not offered elsewhere and they are discounted!
