Not exactly what I was expecting, but I will say it was a good experience coming through immigration and being greeted so friendly and professionally. I'm used to waiting in long immigration lines to enter a foreign country, but the Kenya immigration folks were fast, friendly and courteous. The airport seems a little less planned out and felt a bit confusing at first. But I guess that's pretty normal to feel when someone travels someplace new that they are unfamiliar with.

4 Stars for organization and proceedings, in times of Covid, ZERO Stars for bribe. Effective measures are implemented, waiting times are acceptable, might be due to general low number of passengers, however. ZERO stars for FRAUD when body temperature is measured at the departure entrance. The safety officer wanted me to believe I have 40,3C body temperature measured with infrared. To support his statement, he measured further passengers having levels of 36C. I'm sure, his device was manipulated. And I also was sure being fully agile and healthy. Having no option to convince him that I'm good, he offered on payment of 150 he let me go to enter the building. I did. So, please be careful, if possible bring your own clinical thermometer.

Interesting! Don't arrive to early for departure because you can't check in to early and you will be waiting with no food or drink options (until after you check in and get through customs), yet they will just make you wait! Then when you ask questions they provide different answers because they state they don't work for the airlines. Very few of the charging outlets worked and everyone swarms you to buy things. Guess it's just the way it is.

Very excellent place, the felicities are state of the art modern technology. The personal are excellent from the gate to flights, they are all okay. The slogan of no corruption and gratification is really working at the airport. I am happy for the Government and the people of Kenya. Africa is coming up.

Good! Security was respectful and efficient. They didn't have time to mess around and I could tell that they had been professionally trained. My visa was issued promptly as I entered this wonderful country for an eight day safari, which was a dream of mine after having grown up watching Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom. Make sure that you get your Yellow Fever Vaccinations and take your malaria pills if you visit this wonderful country! I enjoy visiting Africa. Bring the kids...

Great airport IMO. During this pandemic it is paramount that you have your documentation (including your negative COVID-19 PCR test) ready to show. I was able to speed through check-in ahead of others. Also, if you're able to have access to the Pride Lounge (Kenya Airways), it will make your wait that much smoother.

Easy check in procedure and multiple security checks. Also it's the only airport where your actually have to undergo an initial search at the gate entrance to the airport. Finally, souvenir prices cheaper at the airport than in downtown Nairobi.
