The Low Emission and Climate Resilient Development (LECRD) Project is coordinated by the Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources and Regional Development Authorities in Kenya. The project is funded by USAID through United Nations Development Program (UNDP). The project aims at supporting Kenya’s efforts to pursue long-term, transformative development and accelerate sustainable climate resilient economic growth, while slowing the growth of greenhouse gas emissions. The project has 6 result areas namely; (1) To enhance National climate change coordination processes. (2) Enhance access to clean and efficient energy systems. (3) Put in place a national sustainable Greenhouse Gas Inventory system. (4) Enhance national and county decision making tools for climate change interventions. (5) Enhance climate knowledge management and capacity. (6) Minimize the impacts of extreme climate events for improved and resilient livelihoods.
