This is an interesting point in the Hell's Gate Canyon where hot water actually emanates from the rock face. This water is geothermal heated, there is a lotto volcanism in there, also enabling actual geothermal electricity generation by the geothermal power plant which is also located in Hell's Gate national park. The gorge however is a nicely preserved nature area.
