It's not a luxurious place to go...its more for the actual beach experience. Perfect for younger people

We loved it! It’s really calm and remote. If you’re looking for a place at Kenya’s southcoast where you can just hang out and relax, this is the place to be. You have your own cottage just at the beach, where you can listen to the sea when you’re going to bed. It was very clean although it is not a luxurious place to stay. It just feels right how it is. Monique however makes this place so special. She is so helpful with everything, she’s nice and honest and I loved to chat with her. With the tide it is very nice to watch the sand island appear and disappear again. Further you can go swimming, snorkeling or buy some fresh food directly from the fishermen. Any other food you can buy in ukunda or at diani, where you have to go by taxi (Monique of course organizes for you)

Our 9 year old said this was a calming place with sound of sea rocking you in a cradle when you got to bed Simply the most wonderful and relaxing place we’ve been. Lovely beach, no hassles, wonderful people, fantastic hospitality and a great place to stay... Looking forward to going back

Amazing, clean and unspoilt beaches combined with great food consisting of fresh fish straight from the sea cooked by incredible chefs in your own cottage. A local fisherman took us out to see the starfish, I never knew they came in so many colours, and then on to a great snorkelling spot where we saw many different types of tropical fish. The managers could not do enough to help us enjoy our stay, organising taxis, putting us in touch with the fishermen and lending us snorkelling gear and reef shoes. The beach was thoroughly relaxing with none of the hassling that sadly has become too common on some of the more commercialised beaches.

If you need to truly get away from the rat race this is the place to do it. The drive down the bumpy road is rewarded by a beautiful seaside property where life slows down. Monique who welcomed us is an awesome host, always smiling and professional, she is a willing and great source of information and nothing is too much trouble for her and her staff. Let her negotiate and book your local trips to Kisite / Wasini Island and other local places of interest. The accommodation is simple, comfortable and adequate. Units are serviced daily by friendly and accommodating staff. Our chef Binti was a real delight, always happy and smiling, she negotiated the freshest fish and calamari from the local fishermen for us and managing to get us great prawns to. She kept us totally nourished with her Swahili style cooking for the week that we stayed here. Her fried calamari rings were without a doubt the best that I have ever eaten. The snorkeling here is great at low tide, and the beach is free of vendors so you are left in peace to explore and enjoy it. We were blessed with fabulous weather which resulted in days of breathtaking sunrises and beautiful tropical sea views from our cottage verandah. I hope that I get a chance to return. Highly recommended if who want to escape from the hustle and bustle.
