Lovely visit and Fiona and Sandra are super hosts. The tea tour was educative and the food was simple but delicious. The walk in the forest with Julius was a good break and was dotted with humour. The garden is lovely and very calming. Totally enjoyed it.
A lovely and scenic farm with two acres of tea and twelve of indigenous forest. They offers a farm tour where you can learn about the history of the farm (formerly sixty acres) and the surrounding area, a visit to the tea plantation and a walk in the forest all capped by a nice lunch at the end.
Beautiful, tranquil, and definitely off the beaten track. A lovely place for a Sunday excursion, with a very interesting tour of one of the early tea farms in Kenya. Three-course lunch with wine included. Don't forget to buy some export grade tea, because you won't find that in the supermarkets here.
A perfect escape from Nairobi. Beautiful tea story Amazing food Wonderful garden. Sunday is the perfect day to visit
If you ever want to know more information about tea in Kenya, its history, market landscape, then Fiona, who runs this tea farm, is the go-to person. She is basically a walking Wikipedia of all things tea. Other than tea, the farm also has dairy cows and is actively conserving a small forest. She cit d that some of the trees are over 100 years old. Normally there are colobus monkeys but by the time I was visiting, they were a no-show. The farm house overlooks the well-manicured lawns. The staff here were welcoming and kind. Oh and I bet she mentioned that the family donated the land that Limuru girls sits on. A day well spent.
Tea tour was interesting, degustation was wonderful, loved every minute spent at the farm. Very calm and beautiful place. Food served at Fiona’s was amazing, everything home grown and home made. Especially lemonade and ice-cream
This picturesque farmhouse is located 30 kilometres away where the hostess Fiona welcomes you and explains her family history and tea production in a very informative and interesting way. Steven's visit to the forest is very exciting and you will discover a multitude of plants and trees. And the lunch, what can I say, sumptuous. We eat very well. The team and Fiona are very helpful and very nice. A place to discover. Greg.
