Just 5 kms from Wajir, near Airport, Lake Yahud, “the primitive Jewish Lake that never lacks water” is an underground and permanent lake found on the periphery of Wajir. It formed as a result of quarrying for materials for construction of Wajir Airport in the 1970s.
