This First capital city of East Africa and first capital city of Kenya before the same was moved to Machakos and finally Nairobi. The place is gorgeous, construction done on lime stone alone, the building's thick walls and closeness to each other provide self ventilation and the nice cooling system ever seen. People living in the old Mombasa conservation are the 3rd generation.
