Mombasa is famous for its street food and barbecue, and Sagala are simply amongst the best when it comes to the simple yet amazingly delicious mishkaki (skewered beef cubes). Served with their signature tamarind and tomato dip, be sure to order sides of fries, chapati and fresh sugarcane juice. Sagala are set up outside Island Forex Bureau, and serve from 6pm to 9pm, due to the current covid curfew. Be sure to come early, as seating space is limited. The more adventurous can choose to get served in their car, or have takeaway. Word to the wise; mishkaki is best had when piping hot, served straight from the grill. Prices are very pocket friendly. Food is Halal.
