I have been here a couple of times for conferences and I can say that it's a very chill. A walking distance from the city centre (take an Uber or Matatu while going but if you feel like some exercise, you can walk to the CBD on your way back), it's surprisingly serene owing to the numerous trees and birds. Hey, you'll even get to see and play with monkeys! They have a vibrant research community mainly focusing on history, plus a very resourceful and peaceful library. They offer great catering services too! A lot of art exhibitions go on here, you just might be lucky to stumble upon one!
