Our mission - to empower smallholder farmers to sustainably improve their livelihoods through innovative access to information, technology, means and markets. We operate across 9 counties in Kenya namely; Nairobi, Kiambu, Machakos, Nyandarua, Laikipia, Embu, Kirinyaga, Meru and Tharakanithi. Our activities focus on animal welfare and care, conservation agriculture and renewable energy. In partnership with Brooke EA with the support of The Brooke Hospital for Animals of UK, KENDAT has been running The Heshimu Punda (Respect the Donkey) Programme for over 10 years. The project advances practical community knowledge transfer efforts in donkey health & husbandry management, preventive care and policy influencing, among other livelihood interventions. As an authority in Conservation Agriculture and renewable energy, KENDAT, specializes in matters of exposure to information, technology, means and markets, climate change mitigation interventions, solar water pumping, drip irrigation, household lighting among other resilient and renewable energy applications.
