If you're reading this and looking to go to the main section of Ngong Road Forest Sanctuary: this is the correct map marker! You turn off Ngong Road just after the Jamhuri sports ground and make your way down a rough track. You'll see the entrance on your right. What you'll find is, in my opinion, the best forest in Nairobi and one of the city's best-kept secrets. After you park in the car park and say hi to the friendly rangers, you'll take a short walk down a eucalyptus-lined trackway and enter the forest proper. What a beautifully wild one it is! Pretty much all the routes in this forest are narrow paths; there are also a few clearings, a stream running through its forested valley, a mini-waterfall, and plenty of wildlife. The deeper you go, the better it gets :)
