Located near Kisumu International Airport and Equator Bottlers Limited,Peche Foods is among the best fish processing plants in Kisumu,though closed for now. It is from the plant that we get Nile Perch[Lates niloticus] otherwise known by the locals as Mbuta,fresh from the Lake. The locals mostly Luos,enjoy the meal of Mbuta so much that any person visiting Kisumu for the first time may not be allowed to leave without enjoying the tasty fish. Peche Foods has also created employment for the youth around it,mainly from Bandani,Kisumu near Kisumu International Airport.
