Ragati Conservancy is one of the best camping experience out there. Located in a cool environment, you can escape the blistering heat of Kenya. On my one night experience as a family, we selected the tent accommodation option. The tents were of good quality, with two raised hammock-like beds and ample space per tent allows for a good night's sleep. The other option is a wooden cabin that truly blew me away. From the path leading to it to the vegetation surrounding it, it most definitely will not disappoint you. I will not give a detailed explanation of it's pure beauty as it is something one needs to discover and experience for themselves. Book early (months in advance) as the demand is quite high. There is an array of activities available as seen on their website. I personally recommend the sceneric walk as a must for anyone especially for those who do not see the fun in walking. The wildlife, vegetation and water flow on the walk allows for a fun and engaging experience for all your five scenes(First image). I recommend you wear clothes that cover your whole body (even the top of your head for tall people). Fishing is also an activity I recommend for everyone to try. I personally recommend bringing your own fishing gear as unexpected events can occur but their fishing equipment is of good quality that seems professional. Bringing board games is also a good choice. Best you play when your done with all your activities of the day and are winding down as friends/family. The caretakers truly bring a finishing touch to the whole experience. In my experience they were very friendly and professional people who will make you feel comfortable and safe in such a remote are while still giving you the privacy to may need.
