Food and service are good for Nairobi standards. It would've been much better if the waiters, who are otherwise very good, would have had clean uniforms, not massively stained

This location is closed! We booked this place through booking.com and we were taken by the Sarova’s airport pick up service to a completely different location on the outskirts of town. We were told the location we booked was “closed for covid” and we were given an “upgraded” room that was so loud from all the construction going on at the hotel that I could barely think, let along have a normal conversation. The room also had no privacy and featured giant windows with almost transparent curtains that looked directly out onto the pool. The staff were nice about it but that doesn’t change the fact that we got the bait and switch.

The Stanley is a historical hotel dating back to the colonial times. The setting is magnificent and takes you back by 100 or so years- genuine wood wainscoting,proper club chairs, wide windows plush red carpets. It has class. The food is fresh and tasty but for an international clientele. Staff are very hospitable, and the hotel itself very clean. A very good place to meet, or just go for a meal or a cup of coffee.
