Very cool cottage, opening right to the beach. The courteous staff, constant flow of sea breeze, catching the sunrise, splendid beach front all made for an amazing experience

Very nice location, clean beach, remote enough for comfort but still near major amenities like shopping centres and overall it's a great place to lie back and rest. The optional chef is a must!!

We have stayed for a few days every now and then self catering. So if you want to be pampered and have everything done for you, maybe this is not for you. We buy foodstuffs from town before we come then snorkel and bbq everyday. Fantastic reef at low tide to explore and snorkel. We paid a local guy ksh400 to take us to the Africa pool, and coral cave which is near by. Definitely take along your own snorkel and surf/reef shoes. Half a broom stick is good to take going snorkelling for balance and propelling oneself forward. Was very suprised how you can lie in a barely big enough rock pool and see a variety of fish. We broke up a sea urchin and the fish come to eat it, an underwater camera would be great. Locals will come to sell vegies, fish etc so take currency to support them. My wife had a massage by a local masseur. Some might get annoyed with locals(usually the same mamas amd papas) coming though everyday selling things but they respect kindness and patience, but it is not like creepy beach boys in front of major Hotels. We bought some coconuts, carvings, a hat etc over a few days. House is big. Kitchen a bit grubby and showing its age but working fridge, all and all generally ok considering it is right on the beach. Bedrooms and bathrooms clean and tidy. Keep all foodstuffs though packed away because monkeys will get in and can mess things up. Also there is a restaurant on the beach outside of Amani beach resort where you can arrange to eat if self catering is too much work. Also the owner can sometimes arrange for a cook if need be depending on circumstamces. Get a number for a taxi in case you wish to go to Diani and back. We paid ksh1500 per trip but i think uber nowadays is a bit cheaper. The caretaker can help you with anything and assist. A campsite is next door so there are always people around so it is not completely secluded security wise.

Lovely location at great beach, but house and furniture needs some upgrading...

Quiet, relaxing, clean beaches. I wish I could stay longer!
