On inception, it offered secretarial courses (pitman qualifications UK) at both certificate and diploma level geared towards meeting the needs of the business community. In February 2006, Valley Business School was registered as a University of Cambridge International Examinations center offering internationally accepted qualifications, recognized all over the world. So far the CIE programmes offered are advanced diplomas in Business and computing and professional diplomas in Teachers & Trainers and Teaching with ICT. As a strategic response to the changing needs of the business community and the public at large, Valley Business School has switched its focus to programs centered on the situational factors that define current labour market needs where workers now seeks continuous development programs that offer a competitive advantage within the job market. As a result, the needs and demands for training a new generation of workers has meant that learning institutions have had to quickly embraced new methods and processes of pedagogy and learning delivery to suit these changes. VBS has taken on this challenge and 50 years since inception is now introducing courses that are more relevant to current labour market needs and life long learning focused on supporting strong labour market outcomes.
