The Warren Foundation is a self sponsored organization that was founded in 2016 that is focused on making outdoor adventure activities SAFE Safe Adventurous Fun Enriching in Kenya. In December, 2015,a group of young teenage students from various schools in Nairobi visited Mount Kenya as a part of a church organized activity Rites of Passage ROPES program.Poor planning, lack of safety/emergency equipment, and inexperienced mountain guides led to the unfortunate demise of Master Warren Asiyo aged 14.Warren succumbed to High Altitude Pulmonary Edema (HAPE), and High Altitude Celebral Edema (HACE) which are both advanced forms of Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS), that occurs due to poor acclimatization. People are imperfect, make mistakes, take chances, take shortcuts, and these can contribute to accidents and incidents. This is why The Warren Foundation seeks to address the reasons for accidents by raising your awareness of safety practices in Outdoor Adventure through safety awareness campaigns and training in Wilderness Care as is the most effective approach to improving implementation of Outdoor safety practices across the board. Our trainers and training are unsurpassed, by the guidance of internationally accredited safety instructors as we adapt the training and the awareness creation to fit our clients who range from institutions of higher learning, schools, and church groups. Our training and awareness sessions are experiential and can take place in variable settings; it doesn't have to take place in a classroom and doesn't have to take hours at a time. Welcome us to create awareness on safety practices and provide safety briefs before outdoor excursions and expeditions. Let’s have Safe Adventurous Fun and Enriching (SAFE).
