I will give it 3 undeserving stars for reasons I'll explain in a few. Firstly, the site has become a public bathroom and toilet for the Muhuru Bay Community. It's sad that a great well built facility like that can be transformed into a public toilet and bathroom. The dock has been well built. From the mainland to the docking area is a road that used to be tarmac. There's a warehouse facility right next to the main docking area that's been locked for ages. One can see Tanzania from the southern end of the dock. It still has huge rubber tyres stringed to the edges of the dock to protect ships from getting spoilt. A little dredging and renovation of the warehouse plus an upgrade of the road and this idle facility can be used to open up Muhuru to places like Migingo Island. There are even dilapidated quarters next to the dock for officers that used to work at this site. Otherwise the location is perfect as its surrounded by calm waters and a great view of the bay.
