It is pretty good. It is very simple and basic. Wet wipes would be of great help. The staff look too serious.

We stopped by this roadside place on our way to Masai Mara, only to have coffee and mandazi and to use the loos (surprisingly clean). Then, on the way back from Masai Mara a few days later, we were in the vicinity around lunchtime, so decided we may as well have lunch here too. The food is all buffet style, a small selection of Kenyan food that was a mix of excellent, good and indifferent - mostly (especially the pilau and the beef curry with vegetables) very good. Plus, huge slabs of sweet watermelon for afters. Inexpensive, too, and if you haven't yet bought souvenirs, they have a really large shop right next door.

This is a restaurant for travelers and people going to (and back) from safari. Knows from all tourist guide (that's why your guide will not pay for his food, kind of cash back). This is not really a restaurant but a cantine, you've to move yourself, take your plate and choose your food. What about the lavatory ? There was pretty good, not too good, not too bad. Inside the restaurant, the decoration are like a French old kitchen... Simple. What about the food? I've met the chief, he's in love with soccer , so have a long talk with him! You have many choices, if you don't eat meat (like me) you will find so many things to eat. All the food is very very tasty. You can refill your plates as your belly can endure! Price? I don't remember how much it was but not too much. So not expensive for foreigners. Enjoy your meal !

If your on a safari you don't have a choice other than eating your snacks. One of the most unnecessarily expensive food and snacks and the food is just ok. 300 for a cup of tea or a coke. My recommendation would be carry your own snacks from within the city.

It's the best stopover for lunch or coffee on your way to maasai mara, and your way back to nairobi.
